On Site Demonstration
This consists of a session about the colour coding of fire extinguishers and their contents. Explaining what class of fire each extinguisher can be used on. This is followed by a practical demonstration to be held outside in a safe and convenient area of the premises. The extinguishers are then used to extinguish the different classes of fire,
Class A fires of ordinary materials like burning paper, wood, cardboard, plastics etc.
Class B fires involving flammable or combustible liquids such as petrol, kerosene, and common organic solvents used in the laboratory.
Class C fires involve energised electrical equipment, such as appliances, switches, panel boxes, power tools, etc.
All who attend the course will use at least one fire extinguisher on a live fire.
